2005 Cabernet Franc

Tamarack Cellars' winery is located by the Walla Walla airport on a former military base. It offers some of the best red wine values among all the Washington wines in my tastings.

The 2005 Cabernet Franc is dark rubycolored with a multi dimensional perfume of smoke, menthol, earth, clove, red currants, and blackberry. Supple textured and sweet on the palate, the wine has superior depth and length in its complex personality. Allow it to evolve for 3-5 years and drink it through 2027.

Kudos to Tamarack Cellars for an outstanding, individualistic lineup of well priced wines.

Youthful, ebullient style has crisp texture and sings with cherry, black currant and floral aromas and flavors, lingering impressively on the fine-grained finish. Drink now through 2011.

2005 Cabernet Franc

Smooth, velvety and appealing for it's floral-scented blueberry and currant flavors, which expand beautifully on the finish, remaining supple and inviting all the way through to the end.

Thick and dense on the palate, with gobs of flavor, this full bodied effort demands 6-8 years of cellaring and should drink well through 2040.
